Let it Snow

I know that there are a lot of people despising the snow right now and wishing it would go away.  But around here, we get super excited if any type of sleet, slush, ice ball, or flurry collects on a surface of any kind.  Heck, my kids are elated if they can see their breath or if there is frost on the ground in the mornings.  I was sad that they were not home to enjoy it this evening, but I had the privilege of watching Big Boy experience his first "snow".  And it went a little something like this...

This is the What-the-heck-is-this phase.  (I adore the look on his face.  He followed it up with an "Ooooh!")

The I-want-to-touch-it phase. (He wasn't a fan of this phase.)

And the Hey-this-stuff-is-pretty-cool phase.

So, I'm thinking that overall, he's a fan. I know I am!  And I will be even more of a fan if it gives us a cozy day at home in our pjs tomorrow.  Fingers crossed. ;)

  1. Some kids around here are 4 or 5 years old before they see their first snow... I LOVE the looks of excitement on his face.
